Is Yahoo Answers blasphemous? Do you agree?
Censoring the Bible, that'ssurely blasphemous, isn't it?
Look at this:
Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ***, and a colt the foal of an ***. And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them And brought the ***, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon. Matthew 21:5-7

1. Altering the Word of God has to be blasphemous ("Blasphemy is the act of insulting or showing contempt or lack of reverence for a God"). The person who thinks blaspheming means "sacreligious" is missing the point.
2. It is not relevant what other Bibles say. The direct quote, and the way YA treated it, is what was asked about.
3. Since none of the answers dealt with the question as asked, I shall not be awarding Best Answer.

It isn't a word that is allowed here, and in the bible the word is Donkey
It is an Americanization for you to use that word, and I think most US preachers of all faiths will call it a Donkey

I disagree! Y!A is not of itself "blasphemous" but the users often are! This would probably be true of any public forum these days. I thought Yahoo did allow *** and "when the **** crows". (I am adding that sentence to see how it renders when I post. I am amazed at what renders when I select to read a question- it is different from the way it posts!)

The author of the gospel wrote it in Greek - and the Greek is
γάιδαρος. You can just as correctly translate that as "donkey". If you insist on using an out-dated translation with 16th century English vocabulary you must expect some words to have changed their meaning.
At least now it is possible for Peter to deny Jesus before the **** crows.

No, it's not. Check your dictionary.
adjective
sacrilegious against God or sacred things; profane.
Censoring a word isn't profane or sacrilegious. It is simply a measure of protection against uneducated users who feel the need to use profanity or scurrilous language as a weapon against others. Unfortunately, computer programs don't differentiate based on context. So blame the trolls, not YA.
