The illuminati is a higher order of the Masons, not a coven of werewolves and zombies. The Skull and Bones is real too, and many of out presidents were members.

There is no such thing as the illuminati. However a Secret society of super billionairs, make their own agenda's, and then they create the illuminati to take the blame for such things, to keep them out of the spotlight. They will even pay people to say they are illuminati.

The Freemasons really. The Vatican rules behind the powers of many nations through its Orders: the Jesuits, the Knights of Malta, the Freemasons. Even the Queen of England is a Knight of Malta. Jesus said His kingdom is NOT of this world. The only entity which fully matches the Bible's description given in the book of Revelation regarding the identity of the whore of Babylon (aka the mother of harlots) is Vatican City.  The illuminati is just people who think they receive enlightenment from Lucifer. They do not grasp that while Lucifer was once a covering cherub for the Light, Lucifer rebelled against the Light, and is in spiritual darkness as a result of being separated from the Source of Light (that would be Yahshua/Jesus). Jesus is the Light of the world. There is no darkness in Him at all.

As it turns out, the Illuminati were a group of educated, progressive men who tried to educate the populace and gain women equal rights while exposing the corruption and dominance of the church and the King. They were harassed, arrested and oppressed by that king (who was in the pocket of the Catholic church), and disbanded. This happened in the 18th century. They do not exist as an organization currently, except in the desperate, gullible minds of conspiracy theorists and those with seriously sub-standard powers of critical thinking.

The illuminati is a Satanic cult that is deeply embedded into American society especially in entertainment. Operation Mockingbird had a lot to do with it too.

I am sorry to be the one to tell you this but no one is running things. We are controlled by social and economic forces that we really do not understand well. You want a metaphor? We are like grains of sand falling out of a bucket convinced that we fall because we choose to.
