knee M.R.I. Without contrast

MRI of Lt knee using 1.5 Tesla machine with axial section FSE PD with fat suppresion, coronal section FSE T1WI, coronal section FSE PD with fat suppression, Sagital section FSE PD with fat suppresion, section dual echo PD and T2WI and ACL coronal section T2WI show the following findings:

1. In the medial joint compartment:

- The anterior and posterior horn of medial meniscus show unremarkable

- Swelling with intrasubstantial hyper intensity at medial patellar retinaculum and marrow edema over adjacent patella

- the medial collateral ligament is negative

2. In the lateral joint compartment:

- Marrrow edema involving lateral femoral epicondyle

- The anterior and posterior horn of lateral meniscus show unremarkable

- The ilio-tibial band, fibular collateral lig. and popliteus tendon are negative

- The visualization ACL and PCL are intact

- Non-specific finding of quadriceps tendon and patellar ligament

IMP:

Consistent with transient lateral patellar subluxation associated with partial tear of medial patellar retinaculum and marrow edema over medial aspect of patella and lateral femoral epicondyle
