I'd call life a sexually transmitted pleasure, personally. But yes, physical life is fatal, the reason being that we are all sinners. Or, as British poet W H Auden put it, 'All sin tends to be addictive, and the terminal point of addiction is what is called damnation.'

Yet spiritual life is something gifted by God whilst believers are physically alive, and it goes on forever. Personally I love life. I know several persons of advanced age that are very sharp! I know a lady who in 92 and she is very smart, walks without a can or walker. I know another who will soon be 93 and this lady jogs! Life is what you make it. With God in your life you can have an abundant life.
