How do I stop my 2 dogs from fighting?
I have had a mini dachshund for over 3 years and we recently purchased a baby yorkie. The yorkie is 16 weeks old and weighs about 2.5 lbs and the dachshund weighs about 8lbs.
They have been fighting ever since we got the new one. We try to give our 3 year old the most attention but he still gets jealous, and the new pup seems to pursue the fighting by stealing toys and food. When they fight, I don't think its too serious because there is no blood but sometimes they squeal if one bites too hard. Usually if that happens, they stop fighting for a couple seconds then its back on again. They fight for about 3-4 hours straight and its getting annoying. Is there something we can do or will we have to give the new pup away?
